US: June 11, 2019 statement from Marius Mason

via actforfree

I can hardly believe that it has been another year passing and it is J11 again. I am so thankful for this annual touch point as an opportunity to reach out to my community on the outside and to take stock of the year. It is hard to take in that I have been locked up for more than a decade, and even more sobering to realize how many comrades have been incarcerated for MULTIPLE decades. They have my infinite admiration for maintaining their integrity and for keeping their vision alive through so many years.

I always want to thank all the good folks who do solidarity events to mark this day. I am sure that as I do, all of the anarchist prisoners draw much strength and courage from knowing that you all have our back and have worked so hard to send that immense love across borders and through the bars. There has been way too much hate and “othering” around borders these days. It’s a powerful message to send love instead, and to question the legitimacy of any borders that separate or devalue us as living beings, all equally sharing this planet. Continue reading

Berlin: For a Black May – Attack Against Securitas by ‘Free Foxes’ FAI-FRI

“Burn all prisons, with or without walls!” The call for a Subversive May, as an extension of the proposal for an Anarchist May 1st in Berlin, is understood by us as a call to extend the attack on different levels. We agree with the idea not to confine ourselves to one day but to constantly and unpredictably attack the functioning of existing society and prove that its security is an illusion.

The apparatus of power includes not only the murderers of the State, but also the mercenaries of the private security companies. Securitas vehicles once parked undisturbed in the GESOBAG housing estate where they act as security guards to prevent the intervention of cops during conflicts with tenants or tensions with the property management. Securitas is also engaged in surveillance work in prisons and public spaces worldwide.

“Recognizing the degenerative metamorphosis of the once “revolutionary subject”, today diluted in that imprecise legion of consumers / citizens, is the inevitable starting point to consolidate a community in conscious war, which contributes vigorously to extend the attack against the system of domination in our century. If we are not able to notice the feeling of participation in which the “mass” dives happily; that is to say, if we do not perceive the accelerated integration of this alienated caterva of “oppressed” and “excluded”, we are not apt to develop anarchic war in our days. For that reason, it is urgent to renew our ship-replace one rotten wood with the erosion of time-and that will only be possible from a critical balance” – from an interview with Alfredo Cospito Continue reading

Berlin : Gathering outside the JVA TEGEL prison

In the context of ‘subversive May’, we want to express our solidarity with prisoners outside the walls of the prison of Tegel and show our support for them out loud. Then some comrades (Isa, Nero, etc.) who were imprisoned there, tried to make links with their prison companions and agitate.

These relations are important so as not to forget the desire for freedom in the cages of the State and to continue to struggle for it. The people in these prisons are the result of a society that aims at the violent and mass discipline of human beings.

The recently published news concerning the extension of ‘shelter’ for prisoners on remand in Tegel is sadly part of this authoritarian logic. We, who are ‘free’, are taking this day to demolish prison society and support those who are locked up and their struggles.

To tear down power relations and every prison wall!

At the gathering there was also a banner in solidarity with the Scripta Manent prisoners.

Italy: About the sentences in “Scripta Manent” trial and update on comrade Marco Bisesti

About the sentence in “Scripta Manent” trial:

On April 24, the Turin Assise Court issued the first instance sentence for the “Scripta Manent” trial (which followed the repressive operation for which five comrades had been arrested on September 6, 2016, and two others had received notification of pre-trial detention while they were already in prison for the attack against Roberto Adinolfi of May 7, 2012).

Alfredo was sentenced to 20 years, held responsible for the possession and transport of explosives in relation to the bomb in Parco Ducale near the Parma RIS (“scientific investigation department” of Carabinieri) of 24 October 2005 (acquitted of the crime of attack because “crime impossible” because the switch of the bomb was off), of the explosive envelope sent to the then mayor of Bologna Cofferati in 2 November 2005 (convicted of the bombing plus “possession and transportation of explosives”), of attacks with multiple explosive devices at the Carabinieri school of Fossano in June 2, 2006, and in the Crocetta district in Turin in 7 March 2007 (crime of “massacre aggravated by the fact that the goal would have been the police” and acquitted of the aggravating circumstance of political motivation), of sending explosive parcels to the then mayor of Turin (Chiamparino), to the editor of the newspaper “Torino Cronaca” (Giuseppe Fossati) and to COEMA Edilità (company involved in the restructuring of the CIE, “identification and expulsion center” for migrants) in July 2006. He is also indicated as promoter of the FAI (Federazione Anarchica Informale), recognized as a “subversive association with terrorism purposes”. The aggravating circumstance of transnationality has fallen. Continue reading

Making repression lose

All forms of physical and psychological violence that are intrinsic to the daily enforcement of all states and all democracies, this is repression.

The continuous expansion of its punishment, prosecution, and
imprisonment tools might be its most obvious realization.

The generalized internalization of its perception of “justice”, and the omnipresent confusion that personal fulfillment comes through work and consumption are surely its greatest achievements.

However, repression loses.

Each time we rebel, we spit in the face of the moral colonialism of this system, and we sabotage it.

Each time, waves of revolt expose the limits of the control of the
state, and render imaginable a complete end to it.

Each time, our actions discard the smoke screen of lies, and make us sense that our freedom is to be found in attacking authority and not in obeying it.

Repression has everything to lose.

Italy : Text by Anarchist comrade Gioacchino Somma: Miserable wretches!

Everything was ready from the morning: journalists and live TV on the national channel…
A miserable judge in Turin, Roberto Sparagna, left no stone unturned in putting pressure on a gang of equally miserable individuals (jury led by judge Alessandra Salvadori).
A poor madman in search of fame after having moved from the anti-mafia prosecution to the terrorism one, he succeeded where other miserable colleagues of his had failed for decades: subversive association for the purposes of terrorism.

Already I see him in a few days’ time sitting on the Vespa armchairs in “Porta a Porta” [long-standing populist TV news show], along with some failed criminologist spouting off about anarchism and how it is divided into groups, smaller groups, good and bad and his heroic deeds against the F.A.I.-F.R.I.

I would like to remind the miserable deputy prosecutor that despite the high sentences you’ve obtained against our comrades, brothers and sisters Alfredo, Nicola, Anna, Marco and Alessandro, you have only won a small battle… the war against the State and miserable wretches like yourself will be a long one.
I am aware that these few lines of mine will end up adding to another pile of shit that you’ll vomit on the next judicial proceedings in the appeal court, but that’s not my problem…

Never think that I will lose any sleep with your threats because your fellow inquisitors have already tried in the past, and if you talk about me today it means that I am still standing and not backing off one millimetre. I will also continue to do what I do best: take your disgusting plan and turn it against you.
You will never see Alfredo, Nicola, Anna, Marco and Alessandro buried in your dungeons. They are with us every day, hour, minutes and seconds, and we will never fail to make them feel our warmth, our solidarity and complicity until we have them with us again.
This goes for them and many other anarchist comrades imprisoned in the jails all over the world.
This goes until nothing remains of your institutions and prisons but ashes.
Forever your enemy!
For the insurrection, for Anarchy.
